Aspect ratio is maintained and image is resized to fill whole screen. Overlap is simply cut off.
In the next two examples the image file (wallpaper_elveon_02_1600 in the first example) is painted on top of a background file that is a reworking of XP's Telly Tubby land background. The background image is stretched to fit the screen and the top picture is painted of the top using an alpha-blended fade effect.
